Wexford Light Opera Society will be performing the enchanting musical Evita in the National Opera House from the 25th to the 30th of April.
Evita is the powerful story of Eva Duarte, a poor girl who rose to become Argentina’s 1st lady and a saviour to the people of Argentina. She was born in a small town and after moving to the city of Buenos Aires began rising through the ranks of society until she met Juan Peron. Together they brought about a revolution and became President and 1st lady of Argentina. She was beloved of the people and hated by the higher society who thought she was just an actress.
